Top 3 Qualities to Consider When Purchasing a PC Computer

John Robinson 06/10/2018     No Comment

Most people who are not vastly conversant with the in-depth machinations of working with personal computers, also known as PCs, and computers in general, purchasing them is usually an involving decision that requires a bit of prior knowledge concerning the necessities of use. Most people with no friends that are well knowledgeable or have worked with the machines longer to understand them conversantly usually get a challenge and end up purchasing machines that don’t satisfactorily cover all their requirements.

People have different needs and a person, let’s say for example a customer care rep, doctor or nurse just to mention a few, that don’t need a lot to use a machine for, won’t be requiring a very high powered computer because their tasks don’t necessitate the enhanced functionalities of such machines. When going to purchase a PC, there are 3 top qualities any individual should consider.

Processor type and speed

Processors are basically the brains of these machines. If you need a computer that boots and processes data very fast, then you’ll need one with the strongest processor.PCs to be sold Processors are measured with the number of “cores” they are designed with, and speed. That is why you find some machines indicated either Intel dual-core, Intel core 2 duo, Intel core i3, Intel core i5 or Intel core i7.

I’ve listed them in order of their power, and these are the common Intel processors, with the best one being Intel core i7. We also have the AMD processors and other types of processors, but the Intel and AMD are the common ones in the market so far.

Amount of RAM (Random Access Memory)

Random Access Memory, also known as the RAM, is the dynamic storage that a machine is included with to store data temporarily as it loads to the monitor. It controls multitasking abilities of a PC and the speed at which tasks load to the monitor. The higher the RAM, the faster execution a task is, and the improved functionality the PC offers.

Internal Storage Capacity and Power

The internal storage capacity is also known as the HDD (Hard Disk Drive), but technology has brought into rise newer, fast-loading and more robust storage technologies knownPCs displayed for sale as SSDs (Solid State Drives). Both the HDDs and SSDs are storage conventions that all data within a computer are stored. Their storage capacities are different, but as it stands at now, SSDs have slightly lesser storage spaces for quite a bit higher prices compared to the HDDs but bear more usable advantages like the fast-loading ability and enhanced durability compared to their earlier counterparts, the HDDs.

When going to shop, look for a machine that offers convenient and enough storage space for all what you need to be using the computer for. You can also consider the type of storage you need, but the primary objective here is the amount of space the storage media provides.
